The Beauty of Hope
This past week we were blessed to be present at The Good News Conference co-produced by Bishop Barron’s Word on Fire and Corporate Travel Services (a fantastic family-organization led by dear friends of ACTS XXIX). The theme of the Conference was Beauty, and we offered a word entitled “The Beauty of Hope.”
I say a “word” because we believe that what most of us need right now aren’t talks, inspiring though they may be, are words from the Lord — messages He wants to deliver to us. And, thanks be to God, He is more eager to give them than we are to hear them.

Jesus is LORD
What does it mean to say, “Jesus is Lord”? Is it the mere ending of a prayer or a stunning and wondrous reality that brings, or should bring, unshakable confidence no matter the circumstances in which we’re living? Do we really believe it? Do we act like we believe it?
The Mystery of Christ
“Mysteries,” for most of us, are things that are confusing, unintelligible, or require the brilliance of a Sherlock Holmes to decode. That’s not what mystery means, though, at least not for St. Paul. He seems to love this word, using it nearly three times more than any other New Testament author.
Who Do You Say I Am?
Not too long ago, I was in a conversation with a young man I’ve known for quite some time. He’s always impressed me as someone who is in earnest about being a disciple of Jesus, someone who really wants to make a return to the Lord for all the good He has done for him.
