President of Comerica Bank-Michigan Market
Michael T. Ritchie is President of Comerica Bank - Michigan Market. He joined Comerica in 1991, became a member of the Michigan Senior Leadership Team in 2008, and was named President of the Michigan Market in 2013. In addition to that role, he also directly oversees Michigan Middle Market Banking and Small Business Banking, as well as the Bank’s Environmental Services, Captive Insurance, and Leasing divisions, nationally.
During his twenty-eight-year career with Comerica, he has held a number of roles focusing on small and mid-size companies. He has also had prior responsibilities for the Bank’s Health Care, Financial Institutions, Municipalities, and Corporate Finance divisions, nationally.
He has an undergraduate degree in Finance and Business Economics from Wayne State University in Detroit, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He currently serves on the Boards of Business Leaders for Michigan, Detroit Public Safety Foundation, Downtown Detroit Partnership, Detroit Economic Club, College for Creative Studies, Detroit Regional Chamber, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, Henry Ford Estate, and Sacred Heart Major Seminary. He was formerly a board member of Crime Stoppers of Michigan, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, and Cornerstone Schools Association.
He is a member of St. Joseph Parish, Trenton where he has been active for over twenty-five years (RCIA, Finance Counsel, Baptism Prep Classes, and CYO Coaching). He and his wife (Carole) of twenty-seven years are blessed with five children.
