Founder and Chief Purpose Officer of Walking With Purpose (WWP)
Lisa Brenninkmeyer is the founder and chief purpose officer of Walking with Purpose (WWP). WWP is a fast-growing women’s ministry which Brenninkmeyer began out of a desire to see women come to know Christ personally. There are currently 270 WWP programs in 34 states, as well as the District of Columbia; new locations are being added each month. Over 20,000 adult women are currently participating in WWP parish or small group studies. The organization is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
To date, Brenninkmeyer has written nine Bible studies for adult women. Brenninkmeyer has also written a new series for young adult women and a complete set of offerings for middle school girls.
She created Blaze, a groundbreaking and powerful new ministry for middle school girls, to provide resources to help expose the lies that girls hear in our culture about their true worth and identity and counter those lies with truths found in Scripture. Brenninkmeyer’s first book, Walking with Purpose: Seven Priorities that Make Life Work, has sold over 60,000 copies to-date.
Brenninkmeyer is also rapidly becoming a nationally recognized speaker. She has been honored by the Catholic Leadership Institute as a National Catholic Leader and was a presenter at the USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders in July 2017, where she spoke to Church leaders from throughout the country. This January, Brenninkmeyer was a closing keynote speaker for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students Student Leadership Summit (SLS) in Chicago, IL that was attended by over 8,000 young Catholic leaders.
Brenninkmeyer holds a B.A. in psychology from St. Olaf College. She and her husband Leo have seven children and live in St. Augustine, Florida.
